A delegation of YSRCP MPs met Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and lodged a complaint against Narsapuram MP Raghu Ramakrishna Raju. The delegation was led by YSRCP spokesperson Vijayasai Reddy and they have submitted a 100 pages report which had details of Raghu Ramakrishna Raju’s remarks and links in which he made critical comments against the party, CM and state government.
After this, the delegation of YCP addressed the media at AP Bhavan in New Delhi. “Raghu Ramakrishna Raju has crossed the line of YSRCP and breached the discipline of the party. So we have met Lok Sabha speaker and urged him to disqualify the Narsapuram MP based on our complaint. Raghu Ramakrishna Raju’s act comes under anti-party defection law and so we appealed to the speaker to consider our complaint,” said Vijayasai Reddy.
Further the YCP’s mouth-piece said, “Looking at all the developments that had happened, it is clear that Raghu Ramakrishna Raju had compromised with opposition parties. He eventually turned rebel in his own party. The language he used was objectionable and with the back-up of TDP and BJP leaders, Raghu Raju talked so and finally he lost all the credibility.”
Rajampet MP Mithun Reddy also is the part of the YCP delegation and he spoke to the media. “Our leader YS Jagan has given many opportunities to Raghu Ramakrishna Raju. Despite heavy competition, Jagan sidelined seniors in the party and offered Narsapuram MP ticket to Raghu Raju. Even in Parliament, he was given preference to raise the voice for the state. Having enjoyed everything, now he is ignoring the party. In case if the by-election arises, we will show the party’s stamina.”
Earlier in the day Raghu Ramakrishna Raju had approached the AP High Court and filed a petition seeking the stall of ousting him from the party and also disqualifying.
