SS Rajamouli’s upcoming magnum opus ‘Roudram Ranam Rudhiram’ is undoubtedly one of the much-awaited films in India. The film has been in the headlines ever since the announcement was made.
The period action drama showcases the fictional tale of freedom fighters Alluri Seeta Ramaraju and Komaram Bheem under one frame.
Before the pandemic situation, Phars Films has brought the overseas rights of all languages of RRR for a whopping amount of around Rs 70 crore. However, the Covid-19 has certainly affected the theatre business and the flow of the audience to the big screens is also lessened.
Now, they are trying to renegotiate for a better deal. As per their deal, the breakeven mark including theatre expenses for RRR is $12 Million, which is very huge in current situations.
So far, Baahubali 2 is on the top with around $11.8 Million in overseas. So, the distributors are in talks with the movie team to go for a better deal considering the post-Covid business.
While Alia Bhatt and Olivia Morris play the female leads, Ajay Devgn, Samuthirakani, Ray Stevenson, and Alison Doody are playing supporting roles. The film is scheduled to release on 13 October 2021 in multiple languages.
