The rivalry between YSRCP member and Narasapuram MP Raghu Ramakrishna Raju and his own party members, including Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, is nothing new to the people of Andhra Pradesh. Members of the YSRCP have attacked RRR several times, and RRR has continued to give strong responses to those attacks as well.
RRR took a step forward a few weeks ago, when he submitted a petition, requesting for the cancellation of Jagan’s bail. After initially rejecting his petition, due to the lack of proper documentation, RRR’s petition was accepted the second time around. The first round of hearing took place in the Andhra Pradesh High Court today, where RRR’s lawyer requested the petition to be admitted as Jagan is the main accused in 11 cases, and that he should prove his innocence before the people of Andhra Pradesh.
Ever since he filed his petition, RRR said that Jagan has to prove his innocence, to the people of the state, so that the YSRCP party will not have any bad name attached to it due to any reason. The next hearing for this case in the Andhra Pradesh High Court is scheduled on April 27th, when the HC will hear both sides of the argument and make a decision of whether it should admit the petition or not.
If the petition is admitted, then it would put Jagan in a very critical situation, as he would have to step down as the Chief Minister, and even go to jail, before his potential innocence could be proved.
