Bollywood singer Kanika Kapoor tested positive for COVID-19 yesterday and since then, she has been on news for all the related news like mapping, dodging the airport screening, partying in quarantine time. An FIR is lodged against her for negligence in following the quarantine period after her international travel.
After the rumors emerged that she skipped the essential screening at the airport, the singer denied them saying that she was screened but there were no symptoms then. She further rubbished the rumors, saying that she never did run away from the airport nor she hid in the toilet.
Kanika Kapoor had been isolated in the PGI hospital of Lucknow. The officials are busy tracing her steps back to the tenth day of March when she landed in Mumbai. Kanika Kapoor attended a party on March 13 hosted by an interior designer, which in first point she defied the 14-day quarantine rule passed by the government.
Though she said it is not a big party with more than 100 guests but it was just with 15 to 20 guests and neither was held at any five-star hotel. Shockingly, her father’s version speaks otherwise that she attended three parties during her stay in Lucknow.
Kanika Kapoor self quarantined ever since she found the symptoms, but her partying during the mandatory quarantine period is sending tremors across, as there are many politicians and celebrities in the parties where she was in the guestlist.
While the contact trail of Kanika Kapoor is being traced, there are not just Vasundhara Raje and Dushyant Singh, who have gone under quarantine, but the chain goes on to Rashtrapati Bhavan and Parliament too.
