Sachin takes us through the emotions of playing his last Match

Legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar is often regarded as the God of Cricket. He had entertained fans across the ages for around two and a half decades. Several cricket fans shed tears on 16 November 2013, when Sachin Tendulkar announced his retirement and bid an emotional goodbye to the game.

Fans chanting ‘Sachin’ ‘Sachin’ for the last time seeing ‘Sachin Tendulkar’ in Indian Jersey still echoes in the fans’ minds. During his illustrious career, Sachin Tendulkar made several records to his name and inspired the younger generation to play the sport. Sehwag, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma were inspired by the great player.

The legendary player had recalled what went through playing his last Test match at his home soil Mumbai speaking with American journalist Graham Bensinger in his show. Sachin Tendulkar was featured as the guest in the recent episode.

Mumbai boy Sachin Tendulkar also said that he spoke to the Board of Control for Cricket in India(BCCI) that he has one request, which is to play his last match in his homeland Mumbai which enables his mother to watch him play as she never saw him play in his long career.

Sachin Tendulkar said that his request was approved by the BCCI and his last match was held in Mumbai and his mother reached the stadium to watch him.

Adding further, the Right-handed batsman said that he became emotional when her mother was displayed on the big screen in the stadium. The surprising thing is that my mother doesn’t know that the cameras were focused on her and she is being shown on the large screen, Sachin maintained.

Sachin Tendulkar, who ventured into Cricket at an early age had established himself as one of the best and greatest players ever to have played the game. He served as the skipper for a brief period and focused on the sport.

He made several records in his illustrious career and bid goodbye to the game as the highest run-scorer in international cricket. The record of the highest international centuries is also under his name. He made 100 centuries including the ODIs and Test centuries. Sachin Tendulkar was mentioned in the all-time Test World XI by the Wisden Cricketers’ Almanack, which is regarded as the Bible of Cricket.
