In two days’ time, the entire Andhra Pradesh cabinet would be revamped, with rand new members assigned posts previously occupied by others. This was a long time coming for the Andhra Pradesh government, as CM Jagan had specified, during his swearing-in ceremony, that he would be shuffling his cabinet after half the term of his government is completed. While the process has taken a few months longer to take place, it is finally taking place.
Speaking about the revamping of the cabinet, AP government advisor, Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy has said that the cabinet will have some old, and some new faces to it. He too, however, didn’t mention or even hint at what’s what. On the other hand, the new cabinet would be sworn-in at the Velagapudi Secretariat at 11.31 AM on Monday, April 11. The chief minister would hold hi-tea to the new ministers, outgoing ministers, MLAs, MLCs, MPs, and officials besides some guests immediately after the swearing-in ceremony.
The new cabinet is said to have been curated closely, together by Jagan and Sajjala, who are said to have gone through it multiple times, to ensure no mistakes. The new cabinet is also expected to represent every community and gender equally, with no bias aimed at anyone.
