Rebel Star Prabhas and Prasanth Neel’s ‘Salaar’ is all set to hit the screens worldwide on 22nd December. This movie is made on a massive budget and the expectations are sky high on it. Fans of Prabhas have been waiting a long time for this massive action extravaganza as their last three films like ‘Radhe Shyam’, ‘Saaho’ and ‘Adipurush’ tanked at the box office.
Many wondered why the team of ‘Salaar’ decided to arrive on 22nd December after getting postponed from 28th September. As we know, ‘Dunki’ team announced the date right when the shooting began and ‘Salaar’ came into the picture recently which irked a lot of North Indian makers. When asked about it, ‘Salaar’ producer Vijay Kiragandur said it was due to astrological reasons. He revealed, “That’s the reason we didn’t prepone the film despite knowing that Dunki and Aquaman are releasing a day earlier.”
He added, “There were lots of works pending due to which we couldn’t make it for September 28. We then looked at various dates till May 2024, but we felt December 22 was the best date. Also, it is the time more people will flock to theatres as it is the Christmas and New Year season.”
The runtime of the movie is 2 hours 55 minutes and 22 seconds. This means that it is just 4 minutes and 38 seconds away from being another three-hour-long movie. We are seeing a lot of lengthy movies lately and ‘Salaar’ is going to join them soon. The film got an ‘A’ certificate and action fans are going to have a feast with this film. Malayalam star hero Pruthvi Raj Sukumaran is playing a solid role in this movie while Jagapathi Babu is playing a key role. Ravi Basrur is the music composer while Hombale Films have bankrolled this project. Shruti Hassan is playing the heroine’s role in this movie.
