There is one section of audiences who are always upset with Samantha Akkineni after she commented on a poster of “1 Nenokkadine” saying that it is regressive. For Kriti Sanon holding and crawling at the feet of Mahesh, she made such comment on social media but later deleted them.
And now, in the latest teaser of a song from her upcoming film “Majili”, Samantha is seen touching the feet of Naga Chaitanya on that chappal and taking the blessing to her eyes. A small video of the song Priyathama Priyathama from this film features this particular sequence. Now some netizens are quick to comment on whether she is doing regressive things herself.
They say that Samantha might say it is not her who is taking such blessings, but the middle-class character Sravani she’s playing, who happens to be wife of Poorna (Chay). In that case, even other heroes and heroines also do regressive things for the sake of their onscreen characters only, they say.
Directed by Siva Nirvana, Majili is going to hit cinemas on April 5th. Featuring Chay and Samantha in the leads, the film has Gopi Sundar scoring soulful music yet again.
