Though there are months ahead for the release of Sarileru Neekevvaru, the makers of the film are rushing to finalize deals with distributors and ink agreements with exhibitors such that the Sankranthi releasing Mahesh Babu starrer will get more theatres and makes more pre-sales.
A source in the know revealed that Sarileru Neekevvaru makers are quoting sky-high prices. In normal times, anyone would have dared to pay huge for Mahesh’s film, but now that Sarileru Neekevvaru is in a race with films like Allu Arjun’s Ala Vaikuntapuramlo, Rajinikanth’s Darbaar, Balayya’s (Ruler), Kalyanram’s ‘Entha Manchi Vaadavu Raa’ and others movie that is hitting the marquee for the festival, they are not willing to squander hugely.
Provided with the competition around, there is no way such heavy rates will be offered by the distributors as any slight wrong step at the box office would prove fatal for them. Even for other films in the race, there are no chance of getting higher (say record) sales prices.
