Sasikala in plans to take over AIADMK

All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam’s (AIADMK) former interim general secretary VK Sasikala, who has been lying low for the past few months, is now all set to make her re-entry into the party.

The close aide of Former CM Jayalalithaa is planning to revive AIADMK due to internal differences. Sasikala released a statement on Sunday aimed at the cadre saying that AIADMK belongs to everyone and all are equal in the party. She said those who lead the party are equal to the mother and need to look after the cadre like children.

Meanwhile, AIADMK Deputy Coordinator Edappadi K Palaniswami and party coordinator O Panneerselvam are adamant that Sasikala should not rejoin the party under any circumstances. When EPS and OPS met PM Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, they were suggested to bring Sasikala back to the party and hand over key responsibilities. However, both the leaders denied the request made by the BJP top brass.

With Sasikala’s latest statements, it is clear that she is moving pieces to capture AIADMK. As per reports, the veteran leader has decided to visit Jayalalithaa’s memorial on October 16, a day ahead of the party entering its Golden Jubilee year.
