With the phenomenal opening of Baahubali : The Conclusion, the filmmakers and a few diehard fans of Karnataka have started trending the hashtag ‘SayNoToBaahubali’. Many directors from Kannada have openly posted videos urging people of Kannada not to watch Baahubali and instead asked them to encourage the Kannada films.
#SayNoToBaahubali was trended in Karnataka and even many crusaders of Kannada have joined this request. However, this has least impact on epic Baahubali : The Conclusion which is having a glorious run at the Box Office.
The filmmakers from Kannada are alleging that their films are losing screens to the big players like Baahubali. Well, are there any takers for the cries of Kannada filmmakers who are clearly envy of the massive storm of Baahubali at the ticket windows.
Even the film was surrounded in the controversy before its release where a group of pro-Karnataka organisations stated to stall the film’s release. But this was later resolved after actor Sathyaraj apologised and urged them not to stop Baahubali.
