After an 8-month break owing to COVID-19 crisis and the subsequent lockdown, Sharwanand has flagged off his post-quarantine work by joining the sets of his upcoming Telugu-Tamil bilingual film directed by debutante Shree Karthik, known for award-winning shorts like Vyugam and Childhood Diaries. The final schedule of the untitled project kicked-off in Chennai on Wednesday and the makers have confirmed the news by sharing a BTS pic from the shoot.

Starring Ritu Varma as the leading lady, the film features veteran actress Amala Akkineni in a pivotal role and as per reports, she is playing Sharwanand’s mother in the commercial entertainer which deals with elements like family, friendship and love. It is bankrolled by popular Kollywood producer SR Prabhu who has recently delivered a blockbuster with ‘Khaidi’.
Besides the lead actors, the film features an ensemble cast like Nasser, Priyadarshi, Vennela Kishore, Sathish, and Ramesh Thilak. While Taxiwaala fame Jakes Bejoy is composing the music, Sujith Sarang and Srijith Sarang are handling the cinematography and editing respectively.
Sharwanand is also expected to wrap up the remaining portions of his upcoming film Sreekaram starring ‘Gang Leader’ fame Priyanka Aruul Mohan as the female lead. After both these projects, the 36-year-old will join hands with Ajay Bhupathi for ‘Maha Samudram’. The intense multistarrer will mark Siddharth’s comeback to Telugu cinema as a male lead.
