Shatamanam Bhavati: 2017 Sankranthi Winner

Dil Raju’s Shatamanam Bhavati released as an underdog for Sankranthi this year amidst the hoopla surrounding the clash between GPSK and Khaidi No.150. Many wondered if the family entertainer could withstand the two juggernauts but surprising the entire film industry, SB not just won the Sankranthi winner crown but has also emerged as one of the highest grossers among low-medium budget films.

The Sharwanand starrer has raked in a mammoth share of around Rs 22 Cr in the Telugu states in less than two weeks.

Below is the area wise break of Share:

By raking in USD700K+ in the US, the small budget wonder took its worldwide share to around Rs 27 Cr. While Khaidi No.150 an GPSK could just break-even, SB brought huge profits to all the involved people. Taking return on investment into account, the title of Sankranthi winner can be deservingly attributed to SB.

Collecting Rs 1.7 Cr share on its 13th day is an evidence enough to predict Rs 25 Cr share in the Telugu states and Rs 30Cr+ worldwide share in its full run.
