The cult classic love story “7G Brundavan Colony” has made a recent return to theaters, featuring Ravi Krishna, the son of A.M. Ratnam, in the male lead role, with Selvaraghavan as the director. In a recent interview, Ravi Krishna revealed a fascinating tidbit from the past.
He mentioned that Selvaraghavan had once planned a massive multistarrer film, titled “Pudhupettai,” which was supposed to feature Suriya, Dhanush, Simbu, Jayam Ravi, Genelia, and himself.
The renowned Yuvan Shankar Raja was set to compose the music for this ambitious project. However, despite initial buzz, the project was ultimately shelved.
Adding another layer of intrigue, Dhanush, one of the actors originally considered for “Pudhupettai,” eventually starred in a film with the same title. “Pudhupettai” turned out to be a gritty gangster action drama, and it was none other than Selvaraghavan himself who directed this intense film.
