The Telangana High Court has squashed the Telangana cabinet resolution to build new secretariat at Erramanzil. The court has found fault in the cabinet resolution and agreed that a lot of tax payers money will get wasted.
It was Professor PL Vishweshar who first approached the High Court against TRS government decision to demolish the Erramanzil bungalow and build a new secretariat in its new place. After that many petitions were filed and accepting all of them, the court heard the argument for 21 times. The court read the draft passed out by Telangana government and squashed it.
On June 18th, the TRS government’s cabinet passed a unanimous resolution for the construction of new secretariat. The court further instructed the government not to demolish the Erramanzil bungalow.
Even Nizam heirs too approached the court on government’s decision. Overall, KCR’s plans to construct new secretariat have almost faded away with court’s fresh ruling.
