Eenadu, Andhra Jyothi dailies, and their channels are touching new lows in history. One or two other channels also following their route.
They have extensively given coverage to the letter which was reportedly written by EC Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar.
There were some serious allegations against the AP government in the letter. There is criticism on the AP government’s new act which tries to control people who distribute money and liquor in the elections.
The two news dailies have published Ramesh Kumar’s letter on their front pages even after he clarified that he did not write it.
This gives rise to an opinion that the news dailies hatched a conspiracy. Is it a caste-relationship? or a political relationship? Whatever be the case, the way Ramoji gave a death blow to the journalistic values reflects the sad state of affairs prevailing now.
The basic rule of journalism is that they should not publish fake news. A less popular news daily Praja Shakti published what is actually happened but a biggie like Eenadu failed in doing the same.
