Sitakka has Mulug, but wants Pinapaka too

Well! If one thought that former Naxal-turned-politician and Mulugu MLA Seetakka aka Anasuya is unlike other politicians, think again. This simple looking MLA too wants to have a family rule. She wants an MLA ticket for her son and is said to be preparing ground for inducting her son. She wants two tickets in the 2023 elections – one for herself and the other for her son Surya.

Of late, Sitakka has been regularly touring parts of Pinapaka mandal in Bhadradri Kothagudem district. This is in addition to her constituency of Mulug. Both the constituencies about each other and initially her forays into Pinapaka did not raise any suspicion. But, she has been attending even weddings and other functions. There are allegations that she is spending more time in Pinapaka than her home turf of Mulug.

But, her tours are selective. She is very active in Gundala, Karakagudem, Manuguru, Aswapuram and Burgampahad areas. She is not covering Bhdrachalam, Vajedu and Venkatapuram areas. Party sources say that she is focusing on Pinapaka. MLA from Pinapaka Rega Kantha Rao has won on Congress ticket but later joined the TRS. There is a dearth of leadership in Pinapaka. Hence, Sitakka is preparing ground for her son Surya for Pinapaka.

But, voices within the Congress say that former MLA Chanda Lingaiah’s son Santosh is also active in Pinapaka. He too wants to contest on the Congress ticket from PInapaka. With this, there is a competition between Surya and Santosh for Pinapaka seat. Sources say that TPCC chief Revanth Reddy has given a go ahead for Sitakka and it is because of this assurance that she is focusing on Pinapaka.
