Sonu Sood’s sister to contest in Punjab polls

Actor-philanthropist Sonu Sood Sunday announced that his sister, Malvika Sood, will contest the Punjab polls. The elections are to be held early next year. However, the ace actor did not reveal about the party, which his sister will join.

Sonu Sood announced this decision in a press conference in Moga, some 170 km from the capital Chandigarh. Notably, the actor had recently met Punjab Chief Minister Charanjeet Singh Channi.

In the past, Sonu Sood had met Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who declared him a brand ambassador for a “Desh ka Mentors” scheme for school students.

Sonu has also revealed that he has no plans for entering politics. The 48-year-old star’s generosity during the Covid crisis earned him a good name and even the people called him with a tag “messiah of migrants”.
