Music and singers still reminisce the legendary singer late SP Balasubrahmanyam every now and then by paying due respects in the form of cover songs and stage shows of his hit songs. Andhra Pradesh government has declared a great news, which seemingly gave joy to his fans.
In an attempt to pay richest tribute to the singer who was born in Nellore, AP’s Minister for Industries, Commerce and Information Technology, Mekapati Goutham Reddy, stated publicly that a music school at Nellore will be named after legendary singer SP Balasubrahmanyam. It is now named SP Balasubrahmanyam Government Music and Dance School.
The family members of SPB were elated with the kind gesture and welcomed the move. His son-singer SP Charan shared heartfelt thanks to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy affirming that his father would always be remembered in the hearts of the people in India with such a great honour.
Balasubrahmanyam breathed his last recently on September 25th due to a lung disease post covid-19. He went on to win accolades in his journey in the Indian film music world. Now his fans have been demanding a Bharat Ratna for their idol, which is likely to be conferred by the Indian government.
