Thalapathy Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi starrer ‘Master’ which was released in theatres amid Coronavirus fears, received a massive response from the fans and movie buffs. The film is inching towards Rs 250 crore globally.
When the makers of Master have announced that, the film will have a theatrical release, several trade analysts have predicted that the action drama might receive a mixed response.
Master proved those predictions false with soaring collections at the box-office. The film gave a ray of hope for other films to opt for theatre release over the OTTs.
With the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (I&B) permitting the theaters to operate with 100 percent occupancy by following the Covid-19 guidelines, the stars are lining up their films for theatrical release.
However, it is said that Tamil star hero Dhanush’s next Jagame Thandiram, which will be dubbed as ‘Jagame Tantram’ in Telugu will have an OTT release rather than going for a theatrical release.
The media reports on the same have surprised the trade analysts, on why the makers of ‘Jagame Tantram’ are opting for OTT when they can go for theaters.
However, the official confirmation on the release from the makers is awaited from the makers. The announcement is expected to be out soon.
