Rajamouli, Jr NTR, and Ram Charan’s RRR is slated for theatrical release on 13 of October and the stakes are extremely high on the periodic action drama.
DVV Danayya, who is bankrolling the project is busy finalizing the pre-release business and as expected, he receiving mammoth deals from top production and distribution houses across the country.
As per latest reports, the makers of RRR recieved an offer of unprecedented magnitude for the digital rights of the film.
Apparently, Star Networks, who operate digital streaming platform Hotstar have offered Rs 200 crores for the digital rights of RRR. This is obviously the biggest ever deal offered for an Indian film. The makers of the Rajamouli directorial are yet to take the final call though.
But there is one key aspect that should be taken into consideration here. Compared to other digital streaming giants like Netflix and Amazon Prime, Hotstar has a limited reach. Its user base is around half of that of Amazon Prime and Netflix. So, RRR would not be getting the biggest possible reach and exposure if it is made available for streaming on Hotstar.
RRR shoot is going on in Hyderabad and the final leg of climax is being shot currently. Hollywood action choreographer Nick Powell who previously worked on Radhe Shyam and Manikarnika is composing the action sequences for RRR now.
