Sterlite Protest : Divide Talk On Rajini’s Speech

In his first ever visit to a protest hit place where a dozen people are shot dead by police, Superstar Rajnikanth wanted to win the confidence of people as he wants to venture into full-time politics from the next election. But it looks like his plans got hugely misfired.

Already whole of India got shocked the way Tamilnadu government and police have handled the Sterlite protestors in Toothukudi where snipers have shot dead 13 men. Meeting the kin of those dead protestors, Rajni has, in fact, demanded that Sterlite company should not go to court to scrape the order of Tamilnadu government that ordered the closure of the company. However, Rajni has fallen flat when he took the side of police regarding the deaths happened.

“Actually some anti-social elements have joined the protests and attacked the men in uniform. In retaliation, they have fired, resulting in the deaths. You should not first of all hit people in uniform. If people go on protest like this for everything, then Tamilnadu will become a graveyard. They should go to courts to get justice” said Rajnikanth, while sharing his thoughts with media.

Immediately after this speech, people got divided, with some blasting Rajni for his immature speeches when it could be clearly seen that police are torturing innocents on the roads no matter if they protest or not. Though some are supporting the Superstar, many people who are injured during the protests are not happy with Rajni’s words.

In the first place, Rajni is neither CM nor a police boss to know those anti-social elements are involved in protests as Intelligence report on the fateful events will not be shared with him. Secondly, even though if Rajni’s advice is correct that people should go to courts than protesting, he should learn to reflect the mind and heart of the affected, rather just talking laws and codes.

Perhaps Rajni should understand that in films whatever he utters is a great dialogue, but such dialogues will not hold sanctity in real life. Welcome to reality and real world sir, learn your first lesson carefully.
