Students and parents no need to worry: Sabitha Indra Reddy

We already reported that schools in Telangana, other than residential and Tribal schools, are reopening from today. Education Minister P Sabitha Indra Reddy has said that all public and private schools in the state are reopened as per the High Court order. She advised students and their parents not to worry about this.

The Minister directed the private educational institutions not to put any pressure on the parents. She said that the attendance of students is not mandatory. It is suggested that classes be conducted online or offline.

The minister also asked that no consent forms be taken from the students and that the educational institutions be maintained in accordance with the Covid-19 guidelines. She also said the government has taken every precaution to prevent Covid-19 cases in schools. All schools have been asked to sanitise classes, premises, and even buses.

However, Congress women’s wing leaders raised concerns about the health of the students. As they tried to break into the Education minister’s residence, the police arrested them. Cases have been registered against them under sections 341, 448 and 290 of the IPC.
