Few films carry huge hype before the release, and once they hit theatres, audiences feel like, is it just this? That’s the feeling “Venky Mama” has given other day as the film looked like an amalgamation of many known plots, threads, stories and scenes from other movies.
Apparently the film Venky Mama has ‘base story’ (moola katha) written by Janardhan Maharshi, additional screenplay by Kona Venkat and Mithun Chaitanya, while Srikanth Vissa is said to have co-written dialogues. Including the costs paid to each of these writers, the sittings and other stuff are said to have cost a bomb for Suresh Babu.
Some say that they have spent nearly 1 crore for using the services of all these writers for Venky Mama, while some say it is nearly 50 lakhs. Whatever it may be, whether it is 50 lakhs or 1 crore, both are huge amounts for a story of this logic, authenticity and fresh.
One wonders how come Suresh Babu extracted such a poor story after spending so much.
