Not many directors can pull off a single storyline being divided into two parts. A genius like RGV managed to become successful with ‘Rakta Charitra -1’ but failed when it came to the second part. Rajamouli on the other hand created wonders by splitting ‘Baahubali’ into two parts. It looks like Sukumar is also trying to do the same thing now.
There were rumors about Sukumar going to divide ‘Pushpa’ into two parts but nothing has been confirmed by the team members. But trusted sources claim that it is true indeed. Though it was not the initial plan, Bunny and Sukumar reportedly took this decision after a lot of discussions. With the hero and the director coming to an agreement, they reportedly decided to split the content into two parts.
The team were shooting at a brisk pace before putting it on hold due to the second wave. Since Bunny is in isolation, the news is that Sukumar is looking at the footage and trying to come up with a rough cut. Apparently, the first part will be coming out this year during Dusshera or December. The second part of ‘Pushpa’ will be releasing in the latter half of 2022. Rashmika Mandanna is the heroine while Fahadh Fasil is the villain. Devi Sri Prasad is composing the music while Mythri Movie Makers are bankrolling this pan-Indian project.
