Ever since Pushpa: The Rise hit the silver screens there have been several rumors pertaining to the project. Prior to Pushpa’s commencement, Sukumar approached Mahesh Babu with a script but the project didn’t materialize.
So, Sukumar immediately collaborated with Allu Arjun and that is how Pushpa materialized. Given the nature of the proceedings, everyone though Sukumar penned Pushpa’s story for Mahesh Babu and later used the same for Allu Arjun.
But in his latest interaction with media, Sukumar clarified that Pushpa’s story was penned almost entirely for Allu Arjun.
‘Pushpa duology has a vast canvas. It is true that I approached Mahesh Babu. But I can’t say the story I narrated to Mahesh Babu and the one that you are seeing in Pushpa are the same. I made a lot of changes to the script that I narrated to Mahesh Babu and that is how Pushpa happened. I can’t say these two stories are the same and I can neither confirm that they are completely different,’ Sukumar said in his interaction.
Sukumar confirmed that Pushpa 2 will definitely happen and the unit will commence shooting from February 2022.
