Tollywood hero Sumanth had done some good films in his career, but the luck didn’t shine on him. He scored a decent hit with Malli Raava, but failed to continue the hit streak.
He did a small role in NTR: Kathanayakudu. He played his grandfather Akkineni Nageswara Rao in the biopic. Despite less screen space, Sumanth shined in the role.
It is said that Sumanth is in plans to turn Character artist. The makers of Dulquer Salmaan’s upcoming trilingual have reportedly roped in Sumanth for a crucial role.
Hanu Raghavapudi, who directed films like Padi Padi Leche Manasu and Krishna Gaadi Veera Gaadha’ is helming the trilingual.
The untitled film is said to be a periodic love story set up in 1964. A specially designed set is being prepared for the film at the Annapurna Studios. Sumanth’s role is said to be a full length one in the upcoming film.
Sumanth was last seen in crime thriller Kapatadhaari. The film failed to impress the audience and the critics with its slow narration.
