T Congress happy over PK’s refusal to join Party

.

Who is the happiest after Prashant Kishor’s attempts to join the Congress fell through? No marks for guessing! It’s Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee chief Revanth Reddy. Revanth Reddy and the other Congress leaders from Telangana, who were a little circumspect and cagey about PK’s possible joining of the Congress, are now a relieved lot. The confusion over PK’s IPAC being on the payroll of the TRS and becoming the part of the Congress is now cleared.

The rumours of a possible TRS-Congress understanding too are now cleared. This has now enabled the T Congress leaders to go ballistic against the TRS. Revanth Reddy, who built his brand on the basis of anti-TRS and anti KCR politics, is a relieved man now. He can now train his guns on the TRS.

More relieved is poll strategist Sunil Kanugolu. He has already been working in the rural interiors of Telangana to improve the prospects of the Congress party. He has been hired by the AICC to work for the party in Telangana. With the rumours of PK joining the party, there was confusion as to what would be his role. Now that the PK issue is solved, he can go the whole hog for the party.

Sunil Kanugolu’s surveys have confirmed that there is a great trust deficit against the TRS and its MLAs. But the Congress Party appears to be unable to cash in this anti-TRS mood. Sunil Kanugolu’s surveys have shown that the Congress needs to do a lot of homework to regain the lost ground. The party is now happy that the confusion over the possibility of alliance with the TRS is cleared.
