In a surprising turn of events, veteran Telangana Congress leader V. Hanumantha Rao, who is a fierce critic of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao heaped praise on him.
The other day, the former Rajya Sabha member attended the meeting conducted by the Munnuru Kapu association. The association meeting was conducted at the Lower Tank Bund.
Talking to the media, V.H surprised the media personnel by showering praises on the TRS boss. He said that KCR worked for the development of the Backward communities in Telangana.
He didn’t stop there. He said no Chief Minister has done so much for the BC communities till now. By allotting crucial positions in the government, KCR has given a lot of respect.
Referring to the scheme of allotting five acres of land Rs 5 crore financial help to construct welfare buildings and community halls, he said no CM has done that before and thanked the CM for his service.
His comments came in the light of him threatening to leave the Congress party if MP Revanth Reddy is made the Telangana Pradesh Congress CommitteeTelangana Pradesh Congress Committee(TPCC) chief.
V.H’s comments raised speculations on him leaving the Congress party for the ruling TRS party. Adding fuel to these reports, he also alleged that he has been trying to get an appointment of Sonia Gandhi or Rahul Gandhi but in vain.
