Former Siddipet Collector Venkatrami Reddy had ventured into politics as he had decided to go for voluntary retirement sacrificing one year of service. He was nominated as MLC under the MLA quota the other day by the TRS government. Reddy’s happiness of filing the nomination did not last long with an opposition party raising objections to this.
One of the opposition parties in the state, the Congress party had found fault with the Civil Servant-turned politician getting nominated under the MLA quota.
Raising severe objection to this, TPCC chief Revanth Reddy demanded that the nomination filed by Venkatrami Reddy should be cancelled and action should be taken on the way he behaved when he held the Collector post.
Accusing Venkatrami Reddy of working in favour of TRS government for the Dubbaka by elections, Revanth Reddy questioned the decision to nominate him under the MLA quota by making him resign from his position that too voluntary retirement.
Coming down severely on former Collector Venkatrami Reddy, Revanth Reddy alleged that he had a role in changing the Outer Ring Road and said that he missed the investigation or else his wrongdoings would have been exposed.
Adding further Revanth Reddy said that Venkatrami Reddy has the history of maintaining friendly relations with the Chief Ministers and opined that this factor made Chief Minister KCR to appoint him as the Collector of combined Medak district.
Not stopping there, Malkajgiri Lok Sabha member, recently appointed Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee(TPCC) chief,had reminded that Venkatrami Reddy paid a fine for violating the court orders.
News of Venkatrami Reddy making his way into politics has been circulating widely, thanks to his actions and statements. Earlier he attracted criticism for touching the feet of CM KCR at an inauguration event. The opposition parties have slammed him over his actions.
Recently, he had hit the headlines by issuing a warning to farmers to not cultivate paddy. He even warned the traders to not sell paddy seeds saying that the shops that sell paddy seeds will be shut and would not be opened even the court orders for the same.
