Talented actress Taapsee Pannu who made a name for herself in Bollywood with strong films like ‘Pink’, ‘Badla’, ‘Thappad’, ‘Naam Shabna’ and others has recently thriller the audience with her OTT outing ‘Haseena Dilruba’. Known for her acting prowess, Taapsee is busy with a lot of interesting projects in her hand.
The ‘Mr. Perfect’ heroine was always proud to be an outsider who came into the film industry with zero backing and made it on her own. She is enjoying a lot of stardom and fanbase now and Taapsee has decided to give something back to the film field. She floated her own production banner and named it ‘Outsiders Films’. Announcing it officially, Taapsee took to social media and wrote, “Last year when it was almost a decade since I plunged into the dream this Indian Film Industry is, I never knew I will not just float but actually learn to swim my way through. For someone who never dreamt of being a public figure I am forever grateful to everyone who has bestowed so much love and trust in me and my work. Time for some payback, because with great power comes with great responsibility. So wish me luck and I promise to try my best to bring the best coz the view is the best from the outside.”
She started this production house in association with her friend Pranjal Khandhdiya. Speaking about it, Taapsee stated, “Pranjal and I both come from humble backgrounds. That’s why the name Outsiders Films clicked with us. We aim to produce meaningful, entertaining, and quality content.”
Pranjal told, “Forging a solid partnership needs two people to have a lot of similarities and at the same time, different opinions. This is where our partnership becomes so interesting. Taapsee and I both have similar goals, but with varied opinions and approach. Outsiders Films gives us the opportunity to seek our creative goals while complimenting each other at work.”
Apart from being an actor and turning into a producer, Taapsee also owns her own wedding planning company and she even runs a Pune-based badminton team called ‘7 Aces’.
Coming to films, Taapsee is currently working on Tamil film ‘Jana Gana Mana’ and wrapped up her Hindi sports drama ‘Rashmi Rocket’. She also completed ‘Loop Lapeta’ and is filming ‘Annabelle Subramaniam’ in Tamil. Her Hindi film ‘Dobaaraa’ is getting ready for release and while she is acting in other crazy projects like ‘Alien’ (Tamil), ‘Shabaash Mithu’ (Hindi) and ‘Mishan Impossible’ (Telugu).
