Though ‘Khushi’ did not meet the expectations, Vijay Deverakonda is not too disappointed. The film did well than his last three films ‘World Famous Lover’, ‘Liger’ and ‘Dear Comrade’. With the crazy hero understanding that all he needs is the right combination and a decent script to become successful, he is picking interesting movies these days.
As we know, he is working with Parasuram Petla and Gautham Thinnanuri right now. While these two projects are in the making, sources say that he okayed Ravi Kiran’s script recently. The director gained a good impression with ‘Rajavaru Ranigaaru’ which was his first film. The official information is expected to come out soon.
Ravi Kiran is the director who introduced Kiran Abbavaram and it will be Deverakonda’s second film under Dil Raju’s production. The movie is expected to have a gangster backdrop but will have a different treatment. Also, the hero characterization will be quite unique as per reports. Though ‘Rajavaru Ranigaru’ was not a blockbuster, Ravi Kiran’s handling of the script got a lot of praise. The comedy and treatment of the characters were loved by many and the director is now selecting a completely different genre.
Vijay Deverakonda is making sure that he has three releases next year. He needs a big blockbuster to attract star directors. He announced a project with Sukumar but it got shelved due to various reasons. Though it is a risk to work with young and new directors, Vijay gained success by working with them. ‘Pelli Choopulu’, ‘Arjun Reddy’ and ‘Taxiwaala’ are all directed by debut filmmakers.
