After Thalaivar Rajinikanth and Universal Hero Kamal Hassan, one more hero name has been linked with politics.Popular hero Vijay found himself in the headlines after a political party was registered under the name ‘All India Thalapathy Vijay Makkal Iyakkam’, which is his fan club.
Unlike other industries, the Tamil Nadu film industry, popularly known as Kollywood has official fan clubs for every popular star. All the humanitarian works are done through these fan clubs.
Vijay raising voice against various government schemes like Goods and Services Tax (GST), demonetisation, and the situation of health care in the country led to speculations that he might join the politics. The new party registration added fuel to the reports.
Amid these speculations, Vijay stepped in to clear all the airs about his political entry The Tamil Nadu media quoted the star as saying: My father, director SA Chandrasekar has applied for party registration. This is my father’s move, but not mine.
Reports even claimed that Vijay made it clear to his fans and fan club that he is not associated with the new political party and warned them to not use his photos for the party and he will not hesitate to take action against people who use his photos.
