Unknown persons allegedly attacked TDP official spokesperson Kommareddy Pattabhi Ram near his residence in Vijayawada on Tuesday morning.
As per the reports, some thugs surrounded Pattabhi’s car and attacked him with rods, boulders and bricks. The TDP leader was seriously injured and his cell phone along with his car was also destroyed in the attack.
As soon as the matter was known, TDP politburo member Bonda Uma Maheshwar Rao reached the spot and condemned the attack.
Speaking to the media, Pattabhi said that while leaving for the office in the morning, about 10 people surrounded his car at once and attacked him fiercely. He alleged the role of ruling party leaders behind these dastardly attacks for questioning its corrupt activities.
Pattabhi recalled that his vehicle had been vandalized by some people in the past as well. He made it clear that he is not afraid of such attacks and would not hesitate to reveal the facts. He also said he had been receiving threats for the past ten days. Pattabhi criticized the police for not taking any action even after reporting the matter to the cops.
