On this special occasion, director Gauri Shinde said that the sarees Sridevi wore in the films would be auctioned and the money would be used for girls’ education. An NGO which is working on this will be selected and the money will be gone to the organisation.
“We are auctioning the sarees Sridevi wore as Shashi in the film. I would like to use it for girls’ education NGO. I always wanted to do this, but it never happened. I thought now, this would be the most befitting,” Gauri Shinde said.
The makers kept the sarees safely and it would be a good tribute to the legendary actress. Sridevi was involved in many charities and auctioning the sarees she wore n her comeback film would be appropriate. Moreover, the money would be given to girls’ education NGO.
