Shooting for Puri Jagannadh’s Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday starrer Liger is currently being shot in Las Vegas.
Producer Charmme Kaur shared pictures of the team in the US, writing, “Team #Liger reporting from vegas. (sic)” In the picture, she, Puri Jagannadh and rest of the crew can be seen posing together, all smiles. She also wished her fans a good morning from Vegas and fans now wonder what scenes are being canned there. Seeing as how the filmmakers roped in former heavyweight champion boxer Mike Tyson on-board for the project, it’s speculated that scenes with him and Vijay will be canned now.
A few days ago, Mike shared his fiery first look from the film, writing, “Namaste INDIA. Be ready to get the ever loving shit beat out of you #LIGER @thedeverakonda. #AagLagaDenge. Happy Diwali.. (sic)” to which Vijay replied, “Namastee. Happy Diwali & lots of love from India. Coming to see you in Vegas..Fireworks shall go off across the world. Pakka #AagLagaDenge. #LIGER. (sic)” Liger is a bi-lingual being shot in both Telugu and Hindi, backed by Karan Johar and Apoorva Mehta too.
The film which will see Ramya Krishnan, Makarand Deshpande and Ronit Roy in key roles is based on MMA fighting. Mani Sharma and Tanishk Bagchi are composing the score for the film. Shooting for the film was halted numerous times due to the coronavirus pandemic, which is why a tentative release date has also not been announced yet. Vijay went through a makeover to act in the film, stepping up his fitness routine, getting buff and growing his hair long for the role.
