Teja Gets Upper hand Over Balayya

It is common knowledge that Nandamuri Balakrishna doesn’t listen to anyone. He is real life ‘Seethayya’, say the makers who worked with him.

When director Teja suggested that the biopic of NT Rama Rao should not delve on the last years of his life, Balakrishna initially rejected the idea. He wanted his dad’s film to be a holistic one with his journey from his birth to death.

Teja argued that if he were to shoot NT Rama Rao’s last years, he would have to make his brother-in-law and current Andhra Pradesh’s Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu a villain and also show late NT Rama Rao marrying Lakshmi Parvathi.

Nandamuri Balakrishna was unsure of this Teja’s idea. He took his own time to come to the conclusion and finally both of them have now agreed to stop the movie when NT Rama Rao becomes chief minister of Andhra Pradesh in 1983.

As the end card titles roll on, NTR’s schemes like ‘rice for two rupees’ and his final passing away will be shown.

Teja’s idea has finally won over Balakrishna’s idea. Director Teja has once again proved that he will not yield to any big star’s pressure.
