Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan recently announced that she was rushing back to Hyderabad from Puducherry on an emergency basis. She has been staying in Puducherry for a while now, given that the new government just formed there. With this announcement, it is widely being speculated that there will be a reshuffling of the Telangana cabinet this weekend.
The Chief Minister, KCR, is said to be keen on filling up vacancies and shuffling the portfolios of ministers, by making room for new ones, while avoiding certain people altogether. The first major post that KCR has to fill up is the post of the Health Ministry, which became vacant after the sacking of Etala Rajendar.
According to the latest reports, Kalvakuntla Kavitha, Dr C Laxma Reddy, Gutha Sukhender Reddy, Palla Rajeshwar Reddy and Sandra Venkata Veeraiah would be given posts in the cabinet, while old members like labour minister Malla Reddy and tourism minister V Srinivas Goud are expected to be dropped, for their controversial behaviour and statements in the public.
KCR is also expected to reshuffle the posts of several ministers, thereby appointing the right person for the right duty.
