Today marks the last day of the lockdown, according to the initial schedule announced by the government of Telangana. Followed by a cabinet meeting that took place at Pragathi Bhavan today, with Chief Minister KCR heading the meeting, the cabinet took the decision to extend the lockdown by 10 more days, till June 10th.
Until today, the relaxation period of the lockdown was from 6 AM to 10 AM, this relaxation has been extended by 3 hours for the next ten days. The relaxation hours are now from 6 AM to 1 PM, and an extra hour has been given for those who leave the house to return. This means that strict lockdown protocols will be followed from 2 PM to 6 AM the next morning.
Apart from these changes, the rest remains the same. Only emergency services are to function between the lockdown hours, and all others have to be closed. Telangana is currently experiencing a downfall in the number of daily cases, and the government is being careful enough to make sure that there’s no surge.
