In a shocking turn of events, Telangana Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar has tested positive for the novel Coronavirus. He underwent a test on Monday and the reports came positive.
The Minister took to Twitter to announce the news coming in contact with the pandemic. He urged everyone who might have come in contact with him to undergo tests.
“RTPCR tests have declared me positive for COVID on Monday. Please don’t try to contact me or phone me. I request everyone who took part in activities to test themselves. I am in home-isolation. No need to worry. I will take part in activities as usual,” his tweet read.
Telangana reported 491 fresh Coronavirus infections in the past 24 hours, which takes the toll of the total infections to 2,78,599.
With 2,69,828 people beating the virus, the active cases stood at 7,272. 1,499 patients have succumbed to the virus so far.
