After hitting a lot of headlines about its theatrical release, the talented actress Kangana Ranaut’s prestigious project Thalaivi digital rights have been sold finally. Yes, if the latest reports are to be believed, the film has been sold for a whopping amount of Rs 55 crore for an OTT platform. It is heard that the two giant OTT market leaders in India have acquired the rights Hindi version will be released on Netflix and the Tamil version will be out on Amazon Prime.
Touted to be the biopic on the life of J Jayalalithaa, the former CM of Tamilnadu. It is heard that around 40 percent of the movie is left to be filmed. Directed by AL Vijay, the film was scheduled to hit theatres on June 26th before the coronavirus pandemic situation in India.
Kangana Ranaut will be seen in the titular role of the film. Kangana had taken a lot of effort to learn the Tamil language and basics in classical dancing. She also put on weight for playing the character. Arvind Swamy will be seen essaying the role of MGR in the film. Madhubala and Samuthirakani are essaying other major roles. The film’s music is composed by GV Prakash. It is jointly produced by Vishnu Induri and Shaailesh R Singh.
