It seems GHMC mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi is bent on making news for all the wrong reasons. After praying that there should be no rains in Hyderabad for coming five years and sharing food with her pet dog from the same platter, she is now raked up another ruckus in the GHMC area.
The other day, she had gone on a sudden inspection in the Kukatpalli and Musapet areas without even bothering about informing the local corporator Avula Ravinder Reddy. It was only after sometime that the local corporator was informed about the mayor’s visit. Reddy came rushing to the spot, but the Mayor did not realize who he was. She then asked the people present there as to who among them was the local corporator. It was clear that the Mayor did not know who was the corporator. A stung corporator them asked her why she had undertaken the inspection without informing him. Vijayalakshmi did not have any answer to this.
This is the third recent incident where Mayor undertook a sudden inspection of the city without keeping the local corporators in the loop. The mayor recently inspected a railway underbridge in the area without keeping the local MLA and corporator in the loop on April 4. This too has kicked up quite a storm.
