Many people in the state consider that the three capital idea from the Andhra Pradesh CM Jagan Mohan Reddy is nothing but the reflection of his alter ego. Since the new government formed in Andhra Pradesh, the name Amaravati is less heard and with the three capital proposal they want to abolish that word completely.
Many political analysts opine that even three capitals were established in the state, Vizag would only be considered as the capital city in the future. Now, all this discussion arose because the Jagan’s government has decided to change the name of Amaravati Metro Corporation (AMRP) as (Andhra Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation)
For many weeks now, Jagan Reddy has not been able to shift his CMO and Secretariat to Vizag. Coronavirus impact and Amaravati farmers’ court cases have caused lots of hurdles. So, Jagan wanted to take one step forward towards his long-lasting aim.
On the other side, Nagpur Metro name was changed to Maharashtra Metro Project. Lucknow Metro Project name was changed to Uttar Pradesh Metro Project. Hence, he used it as an excuse to change the name.
This is not the first time this government behaved like this and this new G.O, they introduced is suggesting that within few months, the name Amaravati won’t be heard in Andhra Pradesh and the Jagan’s government will go to any extent to make it happen.
