Bollywood has witnessed a surge in the popularity of horror comedies, a genre that blends elements of horror and humor to create a unique viewing experience. Films like “Munjya” and “Stree 2” have achieved massive commercial success, demonstrating the audience’s appetite for this unconventional genre.
The latest addition to this trend is a forthcoming horror film starring Rashmika Mandanna. Titled “Vampires of Vijayanagara,” the movie is set to begin production in October. Directed by Aditya, the film will be shot in the iconic Hampi temple, a backdrop that promises to add to the atmospheric and suspenseful tone.
Rajkumar Rao is slated to play the male lead in the film, while Rashmika Mandanna’s character is said to have multiple dimensions and complexities. The story spans across various time periods, beginning from the Vijayanagara dynasty rule and extending to the present day. Given the film’s historical setting and ambitious scale, the budget is expected to be substantial.
Rashmika Mandanna has been strategically balancing her career between South and North Indian cinema. She is currently gearing up for the release of “Pushpa 2: The Rule” and “Chhaava” on December 6th. Additionally, she is working on Dhanush’s “Kubera” and a project with Salman Khan under the direction of Murugadoss. Her upcoming Telugu film, “Girlfriend,” further solidifies her position as a versatile and sought-after actress.
