In his many Bollywood interviews, Megastar Chiranjeevi already acknowledged the fact that the success of Baahubali has gained his confidence to come up with Sye Raa. On Sunday night, he credited the same to the man behind it, which is none other than SS Rajamouli.
Chiranjeevi revealed that when producers could invest 40 crores easily on him, Sye Raa’s production estimates stood at 70-80 crores, which made them call off the project. “It is Rajamouli however who is indirectly responsible for the take-off of Sye Raa. He brought a new identity to Telugu film industry with his Baahubali and proved that we can spend crores as well as recover them easily. He gave us a huge push to do Sye Raa immediately” said Chiranjeevi.
The Megastar also added, “Back then Shankarabharanam brought huge laurels to Telugu industry and increased the respect for Telugu industry people everywhere in India. In modern times, Baahubali did the same thing”. Later he concluded, “I wanted to thank Rajamouli publicly on the right occasion and that’s the reason why I’ve never told him these words all these years at any instance”.
Also, he gave another respectable statement about Sye Raa. “Tomorrow Sye Raa will score a similar success like Baahubali. I’m not comparing Sye Raa with other films in terms of collections or anything, but I’m comparing only the kind of respect and accolades the film will bring.
