13 states in the county have already declared complete lockdown including Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Both Telugu States took precaution measures and maintained a high-alert situation in their states until March 31 but the essential and emergency services will be available as usual.
By definition, a lockdown is an emergency protocol that prevents people from leaving a given area. A full lockdown will mean you must stay where you are and not exit or enter a building or the given area.
This scenario usually allows for essential supplies, grocery stores, pharmacies, and banks to continue to serve the people. All non-essential activities remain shut for the entire period such as theatres, malls, parks or any place that promotes public gathering.
Hence the dealers of the essential goods and the owners of the Supermarkets along with the Hospitals and Pharmacies would make a fortune while the employees who can’t so work from home will suffer a loss of pay along with daily wage workers in some states.
In both Telugu states, the restaurants haven’t been closed and the online food orders will continue leaving the restaurant owners and food delivery apps in huge profits considering the demand and competition for the groceries in the market.
All OTT platforms will have higher traffic than ever with the shutdown of theatres and the TV Channels will enjoy a gradual increase in their TRPs.
