While Telugu Film Industry has made a request to the Telangana government to give them permission to resume the shootings of movies, many experts are worrying that without proper ‘rule book’ in place, this might turn out fatal. In the wake of Covid-19 pandemic, all industries were shut down more than a month ago and everyone is looking forward to resuming.
As Hyderabad happens to be in Red Zone, except essential shops, none are allowed to do any business until further notice till May 29th. But then, if Tollywood wants to resume shootings, first they should formulate the rule book they are going to follow. Recently in Kerala, producers have submitted a plan to government as to how they are going to continue shootings with lots of precautions and other measures.
Cinema shooting is the place where there is a major chance of breaking the social distancing norms and talking about the same, other day, producers of Sara Ali Khan’s Coolie No 1 movie also formulated how their future sets are going to be post the lockdown. Everyone will be tested with thermal thermometers every day, face masks are compulsory on sets, sanitising hands and frequently used equipment is also a must. At the same time, there will be only fewer people present on the sets.
Maybe Telugu film industry should also rush to make such rules right now and submit a plan that government will allow them to resume shootings with confidence.
