Tollywood to Unite Against Rajinikanth’s Kaala!

If rumours in Tollywood are to be believed, Mahesh Babu and Allu Arjun may come together to push Rajinikanth’s upcoming film out. They are apparently miffed with the one-sided decision taken by Dhanush, who is producing Rajinikanth’s ‘Kaala’.Already, both Mahesh and Allu Arjun are having problems sorting out their release dates in April. To complicate things further, Dhanush has suddenly announced Kaala’s release date as April 27.

Incidentally, both Allu Arjun and Mahesh have slotted their films Naa Peru Surya and Bharath Ane Nenu for April 27 release. And producers of both films have been trying to figure out a way to avoid a direct clash. While they are on it, Dhanush has pitched Kaala from nowhere.Since the makers of 2.0 have been dilly-dallying on the release date, Telugu film-makers have been having a tough time trying to fit in their films during the summer season. Initially, it was announced that Rajinikanth’s 2.0 will release on Tamil New Year, April 14.

So, the big heroes from Tollywood decided on April 27, taking a fortnight’s gap. However, once again, there is likely to be some clash as Dhanush is planning to release Kaala on April 27.While our producers maintain they respect Rajinikanth, they opine that random decisions made by the superstar are rather unprofessional.Of late, Tollywood has brought in professionalism by announcing the dates months ahead. But the Tamil industry is yet to catch up on this front.

On the other hand, after adjusting their dates quite a few times, both Mahesh and Allu Arjun don’t want to change dates, say industry insiders. Apparently, they want to compete with Kaala, say people close to them. Also, since director Pa Ranjith’s Kabali ended up being a flop in Telugu states, Kaala does not have the same hype as 2.0. So, our producers feel it would be a loss for Dhanush to compete with Bharath Ane Nenu and Naa Peru Surya.
