.As it is known, Natural star Nani’s upcoming action entertainer ‘Tuck Jagadish’ is going to release on a popular OTT platform. The producers of the movie wanted to sell this movie to an online streaming network as the interests are piling up. While Nani is interested in having a theatrical release, he left the decision to the producers as it is their money that is on the line.
On the same day, Naga Chaitanya’s film ‘Love Story’ produced by Narayan Das Narang is releasing in theatres. Releasing a film on an OTT platform while another movie is releasing in theatres is creating a huge controversy in Tollywood. Some of the exhibitors are venting out their anger on Nani and Telangana Chamber’s Honorable Secretary Suniel Narang came to his defense.
He said, “Some of our exhibitors are blaming Nani for this. It is not fair. They are doing that in frustration. But we need to know it is producers call at the end. It is their product. But heroes should also support theaters. Two big films coming on the same day is a big threat to the producers. At the end, producers will suffer. It happens to Love Story today and it will happen to everyone. We are begging and requesting now but we will be forced to take a strong stance very soon.”
Nani has wrapped up the shooting of his next film ‘Shyam Singha Roy’ and is working on ‘Ante Sundaraniki’ right now under the direction of Vivek Athreya. He is also producing ‘HIT 2’ with Adivi Sesh and another movie which is directed by his sister.
