The much-anticipated Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee selection process which went through many twists and turns has said to be reached the final stage and the new chief will be announced very soon.
Reports claimed that Malkajgiri MP Revanth Reddy and Bhongir Lok Sabha member Komatireddy Venkat Reddy are competing with each other and the duo is in the race for the post
Though earlier several senior Congress leaders have competed for the post, the Delhi leadership of Congress reportedly picked the two leaders for the post to lead the party in the state.
However, it is beloved that, the senior leaders of the Congress party are in favour of Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and opposing the proposal to make Revanth Reddy the TPCC chief.
Reports claimed that the senior leaders are in the opinion that making Revanth as TPCC chief, who came from other party will send the wrong indication to the party cadre and this could lead to internal issues.
On the other hand, it is also believed that out of Kamatireddy and Revanth Reddy, who are in the race for the post, one will be made the TPCC chief, while the other will be given another post.
The Delhi leadership of the Congress party recently met with the senior leaders of the party and took note of their opinion on the leaders. Based on this, the party will take a call and announce the new TPC chief soon.
